Last Saturday I went to San Francisco’s Baker Beach to take some sunset pictures with the cloudy sky. Only down at the beach I realized that the Escape from Alcatraz Triatlon will happen the next day.

Once the runners past this mark, there is a right turn and then it goes up, all the way up the so called Sand Ladder. Like running on the beach is not hard enough.

The setting sun was hiding behind clouds and behind the Marin Headlands.

Got a view of the Point Bonita Lighthouse too:

And to my right there was the ever imposing Golden Gate Bridge

And a bit later with all the lights turned on.

Did you know that the Tower Lights are only on one side? They are airway beacons and each one has two lamps with 750 watts each.
