Riverscapes in Sichuan Province, China

An ongoing project I have is to capture moving bodies of water using long-time exposure. That image series is called waterscapes.

While visiting the Sichuan province in China a few months ago, we stopped along a river to take a break. It was a great spot with a decent amount of water flowing over and around rocks. I had a blast working that scene. Some images from this new series, I call it riverscapes, were already part of my Soma Spring Open Studios show at Misho Gallery while others haven’t been shown so far.

It is interesting how these long-time exposures sometimes suddenly reveal something else. Like clouds that look like a dragon or a face. The capture below resembles the eye of a horse, doesn’t it?
