What would be San Francisco without its Golden Gate Bridge? A glimpse of this icon is visible from many different corners of the city. A big party happened last weekend to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the bridge. Some of the festivities will continue until the end of the year. See goldengatebridge75.org/celebrate for additional information.
Since I love both fireworks and the Golden Gate Bridge, I didn’t want to miss this event. Together with friends, we reserved our spot in the early afternoon and waited for hours until the start of the show at 9:30pm.
Instead of just taking pictures of the firework itself, I wanted to include San Francisco and elements of the bridge in my photos. Talking with my friend Regis, the idea emerged to combine different firework elements in one shot. This is how I made these composites by merging several images.
