I was in the mood to play with my photo toys tonight. Didn’t really know what to use as subject until I saw this innocent brown paper bag. I played with different lighting schemes and added color gels to my strobes. But in the end, I liked this almost monochromatic version the best.
The commercial crab season is just around the corner. Down at Pillar Point Harbor in El Granada, folks where busy preparing their traps. Piles and piles of traps. Some stacked on the ground, some still on the truck.

This is my first crumble I made. It was much easier than expected and the result was very pleasing. In fact I liked it so much that this will definitely not be the last crumble I made. As we had one leftover crumble at the end of the evening, I had something to play with.
